BIO: Greg Shields returns to the RailHawks as a Player/ Assistant Coach for the second season.  Shields began by playing for Rangers F.C. from the academy level up to the Scottish Premier League (SPL), making his debut in a UEFA Champions League game against Ajax.  In 1997, he moved to Dunfermline Athletic, where he made 86 consecutive appearances.  However, he moved again in 1999 to south London to play for Charlton Athletic in the English Football League One.  After being a loan spell, Shields ended up at Kilmarnock of the SPL.  He played in 58 games from 2002-2004, and was the team captain in the 2002-03 season.  In 2004, Dunfermline Athletic brought him back to the club, where he stayed until 2009 and appeared in 129 games.  Shields moved to the U.S. in 2010, where he joined the RailHawks and played in 30 games.  In 2011, went on loan to Partick Thistle, and now is back with the RailHawks.
