In 2008 Denissen moved out of second division Dutch soccer and transferred to Cypriot side Ayia Napa FC. Then he joined FC Haka in Finland in 2009 and back to the Netherlands in 2010 to play with FC Emmen. In 2012 he signed with the San Antonio Scorpions.  Denissen, 27, began his amatuer career with side SvSSS from Udenhout where he was discovered by Willem II Tilburg and was picked for the first team squad in 2003. In 2006 he was signed with RBC Roosendaal and in 2007 he played with MVV.
