2012: The Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced the signing of Nicolas Clavijo for the 2012 season on April 5, 2012.

Professional: Clavijo played in Uruguay for second division side Club Atlético Atenas in 2011, the same side his father started his career at. Nicolas moved back to United States, the country of his birth, to sign for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

College: Clavijo played college soccer for Broward College.

Youth: Clavijo was named Newcomer of the Year by the Sun-Sentinel after his senior season at Western High School in 2007. He played for local youth side Weston FC. He was teammates with current Strikers forward Aly Hassan.

Personal: Nicolas is the son of former U.S. international and National Soccer Hall of Famer, Fernando Clavijo.
