Part of the Brampton Youth system, Mirabelli joined Vaughan Azzuri at the age of 16. He continued to get the opportunity to prove himself with the Ontario Provincial Team at the age of 18, and he joined Team Canada in 2010 where he played with the U20 side in the CONCACAF World Cup. In 2011/12, Mirabelli played with Ekenas IF - a third division team in Finland before coming to Edmonton to participate in the FC Edmonton Combine in November of 2012.
