Jalali played with the Edmonton Juventus club from U-14 to U-16, having won the U-14 national championship with the team. He moved onto Team Alberta for 4 seasons (U-13 - U-16) and also made his debut for the Canadian U-17 side at the age of 14. With that team, he helped them win a silver model in CONCACAF and also went to the U-17 World Cup. After playing with the Edmonton Juventus, he spent 6 months with the Whitecaps Residency, and also 6 months in Germany.
