Road to the NASL Playoffs

San Antonio

The Scorpions have already guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, and can clinch a bye into the Semifinals with a win this Saturday night against the Carolina RailHawks and a Puerto Rico Islanders loss.

Remaining matches: 9/8 Carolina (A), 9/16 Carolina (H), 9/19 Atlanta (A), 9/23 Minnesota (H)

Tampa Bay

The Rowdies clinched a playoff berth this past weekend with a victory against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, but do not have an opportunity to clinch a bye this coming weekend.

Remaining matches: 9/8 Atlanta (H), 9/16 Edmonton (A), 9/19 Carolina (H), 9/22 Carolina (A)

Puerto Rico

The Islanders were guaranteed a place in NASL postseason action following FC Edmonton’s loss to the Atlanta Silverbacks this past Sunday. Puerto Rico cannot clinch a bye this coming weekend.

Remaining matches: 9/8 Fort Lauderdale (A), 9/11 Minnesota (A), 9/15 Minnesota (H), 9/22 Atlanta (H)

Carolina

The RailHawks have an opportunity to clinch a playoff berth this Saturday with a win or tie against San Antonio. They can also qualify with a loss if both Edmonton and Atlanta fail to win.

Remaining matches: 9/8 San Antonio (H), 9/12 Edmonton (A), 9/16 San Antonio (A), 9/19 Tampa Bay (A), 9/22 Tampa Bay (H) 

Fort Lauderdale

The Strikers can clinch a spot in the playoffs with a win or tie against Puerto Rico. Fort Lauderdale can also clinch with a loss if both Edmonton and Atlanta fail to win.

Remaining matches: 9/8 Puerto Rico (H),9/15  Atlanta (A), 9/23 Edmonton (A)

Minnesota

The Stars have an opportunity to clinch a playoff berth with a win versus Edmonton and a Silverbacks’ tie or loss to Tampa Bay. Minnesota does not clinch with a win if Atlanta defeats Tampa Bay.

Remaining matches: 9/8 Edmonton (H), 9/11 Puerto Rico (H), 9/15 Puerto Rico (A), 9/23 San Antonio (A)

Edmonton

The Eddies will be eliminated from playoffs with a loss versus Minnesota. A win or tie keeps FC Edmonton alive.

Remaining matches: 9/8 Minnesota (A), 9/12 Carolina (H), 9/16 Tampa Bay (H), 9/23 Fort Lauderdale (H)

Atlanta

The Silverbacks will be eliminated with a loss or tie against the Rowdies and a Minnesota win. Atlanta remains alive in the playoff race regardless of their result if Edmonton defeats Minnesota.
