Paulo Jr., Real Salt Lake (MLS)

The former Fort Lauderdale Strikers forward has featured 22 times for Real Salt Lake this season, recording a pair of goals and assists. Paulo Jr.’s side faces Seattle Sounders FC in the Western Conference Semifinals, but first take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the final match of the regular season.

Hassoun Camara, Montreal Impact (MLS)

Expansion-side Montreal Impact may have missed out on postseason action in their maiden season, but it was a breakthrough year for 2011 NASL Best XI selection Camara. The towering defender started 18 matches for the Impact, scored a single goal and dished out a pair of assists. The Impact are about to embark on a tour in Italy, to face Fiorentina and Bologna of Serie A.

Jun Marques Davidson, Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS)

The former Carolina RailHawk’s midfielder reunited with Martin Rennie in Vancouver following a brief spell in Japan during the 2011 season. Davidson enjoyed a very successful first season in MLS as a regular in the ‘Caps midfield, leading his side to a first-ever spot in the playoffs—as the first Canadian side to do so—as well as picking up the 2012 Jock MacDonald Unsung Hero Award.

Bill Gaudette, New York Red Bulls (MLS)

Former Puerto Rico Islanders and Montreal Impact goalkeeper started the season with the LA Galaxy before moving to the New York Red Bulls in July. Gaudette tended the net for his first 12 matches in New York, though has since lost his place to USMNT goalkeeper Luis Robles. The Red Bulls take on neighbors Philadelphia Union in their final regular season match of the year before postseason action.

Marcus Haber, Stevenage (ENG)

Former Vancouver Whitecaps striker has made 12 appearances for League One side Stevenage, scoring two goals. His side is currently second in the 24-team standings, a single point behind league-leaders Tranmere Rovers.

Brad Knighton, Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS)

 

2011 NASL Best XI selection with Carolina has started in net for Vancouver in each of the club’s last six matches. Knighton will hope to keep his place over veteran Joe Cannon as the Whitecaps face defending MLS Cup Champions LA Galaxy in the knockout round of the MLS playoffs.

Chris Klute, Colorado Rapids (MLS)

Atlanta Silverbacks' defender Chris Klute signed with Major League Soccer's Colorado Rapids on a year-long loan on September 14. It has been a meteoric rise for the first-year professional, who was playing with the Silverbacks Reserves as recently as June. Klute has not yet appeared for the Rapids.

Pascal Millien, Sligo Rovers (IRE)

The former Tampa Bay winger was crowned champion of the 2012 Airtricity League Premier Division with Sligo Rovers in his first season at the club. Millien scored two goals in 19 appearances for the club en route to winning the league title.

Caleb Patterson-Sewell, Vitória F.C. (POR)

Former Miami FC (Fort Lauderdale Strikers) and Carolina RailHawks goalkeeper has made two appearances for Vitória F.C. of the Primiera Liga, the top flight in Portugal. Patterson-Sewell made his debut in a 2-2 draw with Nacional, before conceding five his next appearance, a 5-0 defeat to powerhouse Benfica. He has since lost his place in the starting lineup.

Brad Rusin, HB Køge (DEN)

Rusin, the former Carolina RailHawks captain, has made six starts for HB Køge of the Danish 1st Division, the second tier of football in Denmark. The team in tenth place of the 12-team league after 14 matches.

Jonny Steele, Real Salt Lake (MLS)

Former RailHawks has been a regular for Real Salt Lake this season, making 27 appearances and, like teammate Paulo Jr., has recorded a pair of goals and assists. Real Salt Lake takes on Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the final match of the regular season, before facing Seattle Sounders FC in the Western Conference Semifinals.

Daniel Woolard, DC United (MLS)

Former Carolina RailHawks defender has been a staple at the back for DC United, starting 20 games in 2012, scoring one goal, and setting up two others. Woolard helped United reach the playoffs for the first time in five seasons.
