NASL Commissioner To Visit Silverbacks
Posted on Tue, Mar 19, 2013

NASL Commissioner Bill Peterson will be in Atlanta on Wednesday to meet with Silverbacks players, coaches, and staff at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. The meeting comes as part of the Commissioner’s preseason tour featuring stops in each NASL market.

Peterson is just a few weeks away from kicking off his first season as the league’s commissioner, and since being hired in November, he has been a busy man. He has traveled around the continent to attend launch events for the league’s 2014 expansion teams in Indianapolis, Virginia, and Ottawa, meet with officials in active NASL markets, and also seek out local ownership groups for current and future league franchises.

Wednesday’s visit will be more team-oriented, as Peterson is set to address the players, coaches, and staff ahead of the 2013 season. The former NFL Europe President will arrive at Atlanta Silverbacks Park during the Silverbacks’ morning training session, which will run from 9:30-11 a.m.

Peterson will be available to meet with the media around 11:30 a.m. following his meeting with the team. To request an interview, please call or email Silverbacks Public Relations Manager Neal Malone at anytime today or tomorrow.
