Ever since the official announcement that professional soccer would return to Indianapolis back on January 16, the growing fanbase for Indy Pro Soccer has had dozens, if not hundreds of questions regarding the future of the expansion NASL club. However, three topics have tended to rise to the forefront above all others. . .
Much discussion and debate has occurred among supporters regarding all three of these important topics, and fans are about to burst at the seams if answers aren’t provided soon.
It’s been a long three months for everybody, but after the initial process of asking fans for input on the team name and colors, pouring over multiple versions of the primary and secondary crests and spending many long hours deliberating on all three of these pivotal components of the team’s identity, Indy Pro Soccer can finally announce that … well, they ready to finally announce!
Thursday, April 25 will mark 99 days between the official birth of the club and the formal announcement of its identity. They would make it an even 100 days, but fans have waited long enough.
All fans are invited to the North Steps of the iconic Soldiers and Sailors Monument in downtown Indianapolis this Thursday at 2:30 p.m. to celebrate the naming of YOUR club.
Indy Pro Soccer Owner Ersal Ozdemir and President Peter Wilt will be joined by Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Indiana War Memorial Executive Director Brigadier General J. Stewart Goodwin, USAF (Ret.) and Indiana Soccer Association President Murray Clark to speak at this momentous occasion in the club’s history.
This will be a day that soccer fans in Indianapolis will always remember, so please clear your schedule (late lunch, fake business meeting or sick day should all do the trick) and crowd “The Circle” with your fellow supporters to make a little professional soccer history.
