The first-place Carolina RailHawks (1W-1D-0L, four points) will be back at WakeMed Soccer Park to take on the Atlanta Silverbacks (0W-2D-0L, two points) on Saturday, April 18t, at 7:30 pm ET.
“We are looking forward to this match,” RailHawks head coach Colin Clarke said. “We played a tough game in Edmonton last week. Securing a point keeps us at the top of the table, but the goal is to come away with three, and we’ll fight to earn those points this Saturday.”
The RailHawks opened the scoring in the first half against Edmonton. Nacho Novo volleyed home a Leo Osaki cross to give the RailHawks the lead, but Lance Laing equalized later in the match for the home side.
The Silverbacks are coming off of a second draw in their Spring Season after posting the same 1-1 scoreline against Indy Eleven and Ottawa Fury FC in consecutive weeks.
The Carolina RailHawks will look to keep their 2015 home winning streak alive this Saturday at WakeMed Soccer Park. The last time the two sides met, Nacho Novo scored a crucial penalty in the match that ended in a 2-0 victory for the RailHawks at Silverbacks Park.
