Moises Hernandez joined Rayo OKC on loan from FC Dalls of Major League Soccer, the club announced Friday.

Hernandez, who recently represented the Guatemalan national team in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup, has been under contract for FC Dallas the majority of his career and has played six seasons in North America. The 6-foot defender has made 31 appearances for FC Dallas in his time with the club, making 24 starts. Hernandez made three appearances for Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala club Comunicaciones in 2012 and 17 appearances for Costa Rican Primera División club Deportivo Saprissa in 2013, while on loan.

Rayo OKC head coach Alen Marcina said: “As a new club, we are still in the process of adding players to make us stronger. Adding current Guatemalan international left back Moises Hernandez will provide more strength to our back line. We are thankful for FC Dallas working with us to make this happen. We welcome Moises to the Rayo Family.”
