The Canadian Derby returns to Clarke Field with FC Edmonton and Ottawa Fury FC on different ends of the spectrum. The Eddies continue to get results, recently winning 1-0 over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, while Ottawa Fury FC has shown its ability to dominate possession, but has yet to find results for it, losing to Rayo OKC, 1-0, in its last game.

Daryl Fordyce provided the game-winner for FC Edmonton (1W-1D-0L, 4 points) against the Strikers, but goalkeeper Matt VanOekel provided the heroics to keep Fort Lauderdale off the board, including the save that started the counterattack for the Eddies’ tally. When Ottawa (0-0-2, 0) steps onto the field, the side will look quite different than the last time the sides met in league play – a 2-0 win for FC Edmonton. This weekend could see the debut of forward Tommy Stewart, who recently joined the club.
