Minnesota United can move into a tie on points at the top of the Fall Season Standings with a win on Wednesday night. The Loons just missed out on three points last weekend in a 2-2 draw with Rayo OKC. Forward Christian Ramirez scored his league-leading 12th goal in stoppage time, only for the club to concede the equalizer shortly thereafter. The Loons, though, return to NSC Stadium, where they’ve been virtually unbeatable. Minnesota (3W-1D-1L, 10 points) has lost just once in its last 18 games, dating back to July 11, 2015, with a record of 13-4-1.
Puerto Rico is polishing off a two-game road trip and heads to the Twin Cities on the heels of a 3-0 loss to the New York Cosmos. Conceding goals on the road has been an issue for the first-year side, having 10 goals against in its four games away from home. Puerto Rico FC (1-2-3, 5) has allowed one goal at home in two games. Héctor Ramos should continue to be the go-to man for Puerto Rico, having scored four goals in six games to start the Fall Season.
