Strikers Close Out Campaign With Win In Ottawa

The Fort Lauderdale Strikers earned a win in the club’s last game of 2016, defeating Ottawa Fury FC, 1-0, at TD Place on Saturday afternoon.

Against the run of play, Amauri put the Strikers (7W-5D-10L, 26 points Fall; 11-8-13, 41 Combined) in front on a headed effort in the 66^th minute. Kléberson sent in a free kick and the former Italian international powered his header into the back of the net, leaving Ottawa (5-7-2, 22 Fall; 7-10-15, 31 Combined) goalkeeper Romuald Peiser no chance. It was the third goal for Amauri in two games against Fury FC in the Fall Season.
