2016: The Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced the signing of Haiti national team midfielder Jean-Marc Alexandre on February 16, 2016.
Professional: Alexandre first appeared for the Haiti national team in 2008 in a friendly match versus Honduras, earning over two dozen caps and played in three CONCACAF Gold Cups. Alexandre captained the team at the 2013 Gold Cup. Alexandre was selected by Real Salt Lake of the MLS side in the first round in the 2009 MLS Superdraft. He was the club’s Humanitarian of the Year in 2010 for his work in Haiti. Alexandre was traded to the San Jose Earthquakes in 2012 and spent some time with Orlando City in 2013 at the USL Championship, the ultimate winners. In 2014, Alexandre joined Malaysia Premier League side Negeri Sembilan FA.
International: Alexandre has earner over two dozen caps for his country, representing Haiti at three separate tournaments. Described as a natural leader, Alexandre been rewarded for his international efforts with the captain's armband during the CONCACAF Gold Cup and in March 2016 was called up for the World Cup Qualifiers against Panama.
College: Alexandre attended Lynn University in Boca Raton, helping lead them to four NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2008, Alexandre was the SSC Player & Offensive Player of the Year, leading the NCAA in points per game, averaging 2.79. Alexandre also went to high school in South Florida at Atlantic High School in Delray Beach.
